2009 Zin-fun-del Zinfandel, Windsor Oaks Vineyards, Russian River Valley Bottling Date: 10/9/10 All our 2009 wines were done in partnership. The description is based on our personal tastes, and the labels shown here will only be on our share of the bottles. 
This wine was harvested for us at Brix 24º - Perfect! It was aged aged in a light oak from 10/17/09 to 10/9/10. The wine was drinkable from the barrel for a few weeks prior to bottling, but it remains a bit unstable (meaning it doesn't retain good flavor for long once exposed to air), so we haven't really begun drinking yet since bottling. It has a very light influence from the oak, but it is a delicious, not over-ripe, true zinfandel flavor.
