Home Wine Making - Transfer Pump - $8.00

We have an electric transfer pump, that is used for barrel racking for rent to other wine makers at $8 a day.

that has a 5 gallon per minute transfer pump for rent to other wine makers at $10 a day.

It is self priming, (provided you have the input hose in fluid) and will pump vertically upward (ahead) at least 10 feet and with a slope up to 15 feet.

The pump comes with a FloJet inline filter that has a 40 mesh stainless steel screen, so any grape seeds or large sediment will be caught before it hits the pump and moves into your new, clean wine container.

I also provide a take up hose that is 5 foot long, 3/8" inner diameter and an output hose 6 1/2 feet long which should cover almost every wine transfer application.

The pump uses a standard 117 volt wall outlet.

One of the questions many wine makers have on the use of the pump is, "Will this raise the temperature of the wine during the process of passing it through the pump in any measurable way?" I have found it raises the temperature about 1 degree as it passes through the pump. The wine moves through a plastic impeller that doesn't migrate heat from the pump itself to the fluid. The single degree rise in the temperature will not affect the finished wine.

We like meeting other wine makers... winemaking runs in the family.

My father is Jerry Walburg and there is more information my Italian family and their wine making at the winery site Crinella Winery

People often ask how do you make wine? Here is a web page with a description of our methods...

$8 a day for the perfect little pump to faciliate easy racking of your barrel.

$8 a day for a superb transfer pump at barrel racking, and the lasting memory of having the right tool *at* the right price.
